Rod Meier about his project and photography:
A photographer is always hunting creative ideas and inspiration as a base for his own work. When I stumbled in 2014 over some photos about rope bondage. So I tried to learn how to tie, get my own style of photography and retouching. The first images got a really great exposure and feedback on the web and so I decided to continue this project and make a dream come true:
I wanted to produce a printed art book and now 2 books are out:

An image with a story – where the audience is able to imagine to be a part in the photo or at least can understand what the image want to represent, that is the key to reach people. Creative knots, cool poses, stunning and beautiful models, the lighting of the scene and retouching is just used to get and underline this illusion.
Technically I don´t care of any rules about tying. It´s only about creating artful images. So I mix the japanese style bondage/shibari with the western bondage.
Wall art can be very expensive, so I searched a way to offer my art worldwide and affordable for everyone. Enjoy this small collection prints, more info can be found on my website and prints can be found on Amazon, be sure to follow me through one of my social media (see below) and stay updated on prints, books and new projects.
For the future of ‘Fine Art of Bondage’ two more art books are planned. I learned a lot from the first books I published. I take my time for the next books and want to publish the best bondage art books you can get on the market.
You see a lot of things are in progress. So stay tuned, visit the homepage from time to time or follow the project on almost every social media platform…
